The Backrooms feature film: According to the press release, 17-year-old will direct a feature film version of his YouTube hit “The Backrooms” “over his summer vacation.” Sounds impressive, until you hear is producing the film for distributor A24, when the news becomes not just impressive but incredible. Cinematic Sorceress: The Films of Nina Menkes: This 2-Blu set from Arbelos collects almost all of the seldom-seen output of the underground feminist pioneer in one place. Irreversible: Straight Cut: ‘s Irreversible was a rape-revenge film where the action was revealed in reverse sequence of events. Here it is re-edited in chronological order and re-released in a few repertory theaters across the U.S. just in time for Valentine’s Day. The Outwaters (2023): Cosmic horror in the Mojave Desert. This low-budget found-footage film is getting a relatively wide release thanks to a deal with the Regal Cinemas chain. The Outwaters official site.

Pinocchio 964 (1991): Read Kat Doherty’s review. Media Blasters’ Blu-0ray debut of the movie about a discarded robot sex slave and his amnesiac companion is already out-of-stock everywhere we looked; still, you can check and see if you can buy Pinocchio 964.
