THE PRINT VERSION OF THE 2022 YEARBOOK IS LIVE!

366 Weird Movies will definitely earn royalties from purchases made through product links. That’s the whole frickin’ point.

The print version of the 2022 Yearbook is now live for purchase! You can click here to buy it (in the U.S.; in other countries you will want to search your local Amazon branch). We’re almost two weeks late in getting this out, but so it goes; we did complete it 5 days faster than last year.

366 Weird Movies' 2022 yearbook cover2022’s Yearbook is shorter than past years, but longer than last year’s. (Hey, that rhymes!) We have succumbed to inflationary pressure and raised the price to a still remarkably cheap $6.99. And you can still get it before Christmas if you order now!

Other than possessing the quality of independent material existence in the physical world, the print version is nearly identical in content to the Kindle version. (A couple of the illustrative images are different, and Kindle offers some the ability to view the pictures in color.) This volume offers your first look at the top 10 weird movies of 2022 and a  transcript of our interview with the team behind All Jacked up and Full of Worms. And, hey, if we sell enough copies we can buy a six pack! Help a weirdo out, will you?

Next up: the Big Book containing all 366 Canonically Weird movies. There was a chance we could have gotten this out in 2022, but we struck out, so now it’s going to be 2023 or bust. And we will have some new changes and features coming with the New Year, some of which are hinted at in the Yearbook’s introduction, and some of which you’ll just have to wait for.

THE 2022 YEARBOOK (WELL, THE KINDLE EDITION) IS HERE!

The past couple of years, we’ve released our annual Yearbook in time for Christmas shopping season.  (Our calendar year runs from November 2021 to November 2022—December is usually a light month for weird movies anyway.) This year, we’re a little behind schedule, though still slightly ahead of last year.

2022 366 Weird Movies Yearbook (Kindle)The print version should be ready for purchase sometime next week for late stocking-stuffers, but if you can’t wait, or prefer digital, here’s a link to buy our Kindle.

This year’s copy again focuses on our top weird movies of the year, with extensive-but-snappy (and occasionally snarky) supplemental listings covering all the year’s weird movie releases and re-releases that are fit to print.

You’ll also get:

  • An advance peek at the top 10 weird movies of 2022, before the year is even over!
  • A previously unprinted transcript of our interview with the gang behind All Jacked up and Full of Worms.
  • Color illustrations (in the Kindle version) for readers that support it.
  • And it’s free to Kindle Unlimited participants ($2.99 for those without the service).

All profits derived from your kind purchase will go towards paying our hosting costs. Any leftover monies will be wasted on our staff’s relentless and desperate pursuit of hedonistic excess, in a vain attempt to momentarily blunt the nagging feeling of purposeless and presentiment of doom that is the constant unwelcome companion of all thinking creatures. Enjoy!

THE PRINT VERSION OF THE 2021 YEARBOOK IS LIVE!

The print version of the 2021 Yearbook is now live for purchase! You can click here to buy it (in the U.S.; in other countries you will want to search your local Amazon branch). We’re about a week or two later getting this out than we had planned, but so it goes.

Other than possessing the quality of material existence in the physical world, this is identical in content to the Kindle version. The volume offers your first look at the top 10 weird movies of 2021, interviews with Man Under Table‘s and Undergods, and an available-nowhere-else timeline of the real world releases of ‘s Evangelion series. THE 2019 YEARBOOK IS HERE!

Every year we promise to get the previous year’s Yearbook out sooner, and every year it ends up debuting sometime in the middle of the following year.

This year, we actually did it. Here it is, fresh and weird and ready to strangen up your Xmas:

Cover for 366 Weird Movies 2019 YearbookBesides being out on time, there are a few format changes to this edition of the Yearbook that will hopefully increase the already inestimable pleasure you take from each annual:

  • An advance peek at the top 10 weird movies of 2019, before the year is even over!
  • 80 reviews of 2019 releases and re-releases, plus coverage of innumerable (that means we didn’t bother to count them, right?) film festival favorites (and less-than-favorites).
  • Reworked and improved reviews and features.
  • Exclusive interview with and production designer Dario Mendez (Luz) (not available online).
  • A brand new availability grid showing where the streamable films are streaming (not available online).

As always, the book is available either in trade paperback or Kindle versions. The print version has a few more images; the Kindle version has an expanded availability grid that also shows you if a movie is streaming on Tubi or Kanopy. (It also has the advantage of coming free if you have Kindle Unlimited subscription).

All profits derived from your kind purchase will go towards paying our hosting costs. As always, any leftover monies will be wasted on G. Smalley’s relentless and desperate pursuit of hedonistic excess: an ocean of hazelnut-infused bourbon, a parade of cheap floozies, and impulsive weird movie purchases that leave him feeling physically spent, but empty and soulless. Good times!

THE 2018 PRINT VERSION OF THE 366 WEIRD MOVIES YEARBOOK IS (FINALLY) HERE!

Every year we promise to get the previous year’s Yearbook out sooner, and every year it ends up debuting sometime in the middle of the following year. Next year will be different; and although it’s true we’ve been saying that every year, we are planning some format changes that may help us reach that goal. At any rate, longtime readers and collectors have learned to live with these delays. Fortunately, the movies examined herein are still fresh and weird.
