SATURDAY SHORT: KUNSTBAR (2002)

“Kuntsbar” (in English, “Art Bar”) is Whitehouse Animation’s brilliant interpretation of a confusing world where all artist-created realities live side-by-side.   Watch for the visual citations to Jackson Pollock, Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso and others art masters.

  1. That’s it!!! It is started with a citation of The Disquieting Muses by Greek-Italian Surrealist Giorgio De Chirico, and the reference to Eduard Munch’s SCREAM. With Joan Miró’s Blue II as the Menu cover. Matisse’s blue cut figure, Van Gogh’s cut ear and moonshine in the glass, etc.etc. A great fine arts charade!
