Well done! The narrative and imagery are a potent mix that draw the viewer into the “Big Brother” paranoia and dread. Parts reminded me of “The Matrix” and Harlan Ellison’s story “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream,” and raise the questions of 1) who, exactly is in charge, 2) are we truly rats for experimentation without any hope of escape? and 3) if escape is possible, where do we go? A waking nightmare, indeed …
I almost feel like The Man Who Sleeps (1974) had a huge influence on this.
