We’re ready to take suggestions and votes in the comments for our next Weird Watch party, scheduled for Saturday, November 20 at 10:15 PM ET.
Nominations are open for movies on any of the three platforms we’ve used—Netflix, Prime or Tubi/Kast. When making your nomination, simply say “I think we should watch Weird Movie on Netflix” or “I propose Strange Movie on Tubi” or “How about Weird Movie 2: Electric Boogaloo on Prime?”
If you’d like to attend our watch party, then the important thing is to RSVP in the comments, where you can make a screening suggestion, or just say you plan to be there. As always, we’re looking for five likely attendees before officially scheduling.
When the party is set to begin we’ll announce it in three places:
- On this site (if you’ve signed up for regular email alerts via the sidebar you’ll also get a notice that way)
- On our Facebook page
- On Twitter
Make your nominations and/or RSVP in the comments below.
I’ll toss out the odd indie Birds Without Feathers (2018) on Tubi. (I can’t think of a good Thanksgiving-themed choice; Blood Freak is not streaming anywhere.)
Have we all enjoyed “the Lighthouse” together yet? If not, it is on Prime and I nominate it.
Down for Lighthouse. Or “In Fabric” on tubi. Just saw it and mind was blown. Sorry I missed last one I was watching Dune, which wasn’t weird but good.
The Lighthouse is one of my favorite weird movies from the past few years; would definitely watch it again.
I heart In Fabric and have yet to see The Lighthouse, so would be happy with either.
I vote for In Fabric. Because I no longer have Prime…
To keep our hands on Jake, I’ll throw my backing behind “In Fabric”.
In Fabric sounds good!
I’d watch either Lighthouse or In Fabric again. I’ll officially vote for the latter if it’ll give more folks the opportunity to watch.
We’ll go with “In Fabric.” I don’t think we need a hard rule that we should only consider Tubi movies for the time being, but keep in mind that some people may not have subscription services.
