PLANNING DECEMBER 4’S WEIRD WATCH PARTY

We’re ready to take suggestions and votes in the comments for our next Weird Watch party, scheduled for Saturday, December 4 at 10:15 PM ET.

Nominations are open for movies on any of the three platforms we’ve used—Netflix, Prime or Tubi/Kast. When making your nomination, simply say “I think we should watch Weird Movie on Netflix” or “I propose Strange Movie on Tubi” or “How about Weird Movie 2: Electric Boogaloo on Prime?”

If you’d like to attend our watch party, then the important thing is to RSVP in the comments, where you can make a screening suggestion, or just say you plan to be there. As always, we’re looking for five likely attendees before officially scheduling.

When the party is set to begin we’ll announce it in three places:

  • On this site (if you’ve signed up for regular email alerts via the sidebar you’ll also get a notice that way)
  • On our Facebook page
  • On Twitter

Make your nominations and/or RSVP in the comments below.

    1. I just remembered I’m hosting something in the physical world that night, so I must withdraw my RSVP; apologies!

  1. I am going to recommend moving the date to December 11, as I also have an engagement on the 4th. I was going to put up the link but not really participate in the discussion, but if Giles is going to miss it too I think rescheduling may be best. December can be iffy for people.

    1. Yep, any evening through the rest of the year is fine for me.

I second this move to the following Saturday.

  2. Officially re-scheduling for December 11. “The Lighthouse” still leads. Re-RSVP’ing would be nice.

For the second December party, our options would be Dec. 18 or Jan 1 (New Year’s Day), moving to another day besides Saturday (like Sunday Dec. 26), or just going with one Watch Party in December. Comments on that issue are welcome as well.

    1. I’m up for the 11th, with certainty, and in general any subsequent Saturday as well. Count me in for “the Lighthouse” in ten days.
      (This posted on December 1st.)

  3. 11th is good and I will be there.

18th works for me, but totally understand if we only get one in this month.
