SATURDAY SHORT: DEREALISER LA FAILLE (2010)

Hedonistic, claustrophobic, original, and downright weird; “Derealiser La Faille” is a nightmare toying with our senses and psyche. Trust me, this one will remain in your subconscious for the remainder of your day.

Jeremi is still a student; this kid has some real talent and is someone to watch for! When he submitted this he wrote that he ” wanted this movie to be an exploration of the limits between the inside and the outside of us, while playing with images to reproduce feelings.” There’s quite a bit of David Lynch apparent here, but the technique is what’s really impressive: it looks professional, ready for the big time.

Oh, and he also composed the soundtrack.

A very talented kid. I think he is not at all a kid with regard to his mentality, skills and the way he expresses himself. Probably he is less weird than Lynch. But the only thing we compare him to the master tells us much.

Jérémi, I wish you much success.
