2015 MARCH MAD MOVIE MADNESS: LIST CANDIDATE TOURNAMENT, ROUND 2

The first round is in the books, and it’s time to move on to the next chapter in the first annual (?) March Mad Movie Madness tournament. The concept is pretty self-evident, but if you have any questions maybe a look at the first round will help. The big surprise result was Southland Tales upsetting #1 seed Under the Skin. Don’t know where all the Southland fans came from, but we’ll see if they can keep it up to the finish line. I had predicted that the final would be Under the Skin vs. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (which was also upset, by The Machinist), which goes to show how well I understand the tastes of our readers. Your selections were, for lack of a better word, weird. Keep it up!

This round ends Monday, Mar. 23 at 11:59 U.S. Eastern Standard Time.

  1. I don’t see any match between The Strange Color of your Body’s Tears and Dark City? There is also a gap between match 9 and match 11, so I guess it is match 10 that is missing?

    1. Sorry Dreamer, I thought I had answered this. Match 10 (Strange Color vs. Dark City) is showing up and other people are voting on it. I don’t know why you weren’t seeing it, but if you refresh the page I bet you will.

  2. Hey, why is Match 5 closed? Is it because you don’t want to see Southland Tales? I can understand, but still.

  3. Hmm, this is odd. Not only can I not see match 10 if I refresh the page. I also tried it with another browser (Firefox in addition to Chrome) and I still can’t see it. It doesn’t really matter though. This is not the match that I am the most interested in voting in anyhow.

    1. That is odd. I can assure you others can see it, because it is the most voted on contest (Dark City is leading the vote 30-16). I really am not enough of a web browser expert to hypothesize why you are seeing something different than everyone else, but I’m glad it’s not a problem for you.
